OUR CONSTITUTION
The Louis Thorold Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with the Charities Commission in England and Wales, registration number 1194891.
The Louis Thorold Foundation was registered on 22nd June 2021 and is governed by Constitution which follows the Foundation model issued by the Charities Commission. A copy of the Constitution is filed with the Charities Commission and is available below.
OUR TRUSTEES
The board of trustees is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Louis Thorold Foundation and ensuring that our charity meets its objectives. Whilst we are only small, our experience, ambition and advocacy for making positive change in road safety means we are perfectly formed.

CHRIS THOROLD
Chairman and Trustee
Chris is the father of Louis.
A leader within technology & aerospace with over 15 years of experience in senior finance & strategy roles. Chris is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Reaction Engines, a pioneering technology and aerospace company that develops technology to achieve net-zero and access to space.
Chris holds an executive MBA from Cambridge University, is a chartered accountant (FCCA) and holds a degree in Accounting & Finance from Newcastle University.

RACHAEL THOROLD
Trustee
Rachael is the mother of Louis.
A senior manager within town planning, urban design and regeneration with over 15 years of experience in local authority.
Rachael is a member of the Royal Institute of Town Planning, holds a post graduate diploma and degree in town planning from Newcastle University.

RICHARD THOROLD
Trustee
Richard is the grandfather of Louis.
A retired CEO and Principal of a large further education college. Developed a college charitable foundation. Served as governor for a hospital trust and chaired its remuneration committee. Also served as Justice of the Peace for 11 years.
Richard brings significant experience of interacting at the highest level with key business leaders, local and central government and stakeholders in order to achieve the foundations objectives.
OUR ANNUAL REPORT AND ACCOUNTS
The charity trustees are responsible for preparing a trustees’ annual report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
